Hon. Abdulai Kamaldeen yesterday filed his nomination form to contest the April 25th parliamentary primaries of the NPP in the Nanton Constituency. The incumbent MP, Hon. Hardi Tuferu will have to go through Mr. Kamaldeen to maintain his candidature for the NPP in the 2020 Parliamentary elections.
The Deputy National Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kamaldeen while addressing delegates said the victory of the NPP in the 2016 elections was a collective effort of all party supporters and not the incumbent MP nor the few people around him. He preached peace and called for a campaign devoid of insults and personality attacks since it is an inhouse contest.
The former Nasara Coordinator of the NPP disclosed that his campaign will focus on ensuring the ultimate victory of the NPP in the Constituency and Ghana at large should he be elected parliamentary candidate for Nanton. He debunked allegations that he was a stranger in the constituency, saying he is a grandchild of Zogulana Sulemana in Zogu, a suburb of Nanton.
The Deputy National Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kamaldeen is seeking the approval of delegates to represent the constituents of Nanton in Parliament. Mr. Kamaldeen also expressed his sincere appreciation to the hundreds of party supporters and delegates who escorted him to file his nomination form.
